Virulence of conidia Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) as a bioinsecticide against Crocidolomia pavonana (F.) (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) on broccoli plants

Crocidolomia pavonana is an important pest of broccoli plants. Pest control currently still using chemical pesticides that negatively impact the environment. It hoped Beauveria bassiana will become one environmentally friendly bioinsecticides. The research aimed to study virulence level conidia density B. as a bioinsecticide against C. pests on This experiment used completely randomized design consisting 5 treatments and four replications so 20 experimental units were obtained. Basic Plant Protection Laboratory Science Faculty Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University location, which was carried out from January September 2021. parameters observed larval mortality, pupae formed, imago appeared, incubation period conidia, average time pavonana. results showed with 108/mL distilled water effective highest percentage mortality at 6 Days After Application (DAA) occurred 108 conidia/mL (97.50%), lowest 102 (62.50%). formed observed.
